April 2022 Police Report From NYSP, Chenango and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office
All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
On April 4th, Delaware County deputies arrested Keisha Herelle of Brooklyn, NY. She was charged with speeding and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration. Herelle was released and ordered to appear in Hancock Town court at a later date.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 28-year-old Michael Stein of Delhi, NY on April 3rd following an investigation into a domestic dispute in the Town of Delhi. Stein was charged with unlawful imprisonment, menacing and reckless endangerment. Stein was released and ordered to appear at the Delhi Town Court on a later date.
18-year-old Damyan Bonilla of Chester, NY was struck by a vehicle on State Highway 10 in the Town of Delhi on April 2nd. Bonilla was taken to O’Connor Hospital and later transferred to Bassett Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies say an investigation is ongoing.
Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Angela M. Harrington of New Berlin on March 26th on a Family Court Warrant. Harrington, 37-years-old, was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility. She has a pending court appearance.
During April, NYSP will be participating in National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The crackdown will include increased patrol and checkpoints targeting drivers using electronic devices. The enhanced enforcement will run through April 11th.
Recent arrests by state troopers include:
37-year-old Joshua J. Delaney of Norwich, NY. He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Maggie B. Belbalso, age 47, of Walton, NY. Bebalso was charged with driving while intoxicated. She drove her vehicle into a ditch on State Highway 206. And 61-year-old Timothy A. Hunter of North Norwich, NY. He was charged with driving while impaired by drugs. He was found slumped over the wheel inside a vehicle.
