RoseMarie J. Windisch (age 79) of Jefferson, New York was killed in a two-car crash that took place on State Route 23 in Roxbury on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Investigations are continuing by the New York Attorney General’s Office and the state Commission of Corrections after an inmate was found unconscious inside his Otsego County jail cell. Corrections officers performed CPR but the man was pronounced dead after being taken to Bassett Medical Center.

During April, NYSP will be participating in National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The crackdown will include increased patrol and checkpoints targeting drivers using electronic devices. The enhanced enforcement will run through April 11th.
