This time, a man is thought to have drowned at the Whitney Point Reservoir, on Saturday evening according to New York State Police. A 57-year-old man from Pennsylvania whose name has not been released at this time was kayaking with another person when his boat overturned and he has still not been found. State police conducted a helicopter search and sent out an underwater recovery team with no results. Broome and Chenango County Sheriff's deputies, along with K9s, multiple fire department crews, and even volunteers, searched the surrounding land and turned up nothing. The investigation is ongoing.

Police have not said if the missing kayaker was wearing a life jacket.
