Man Arrested For Local Robberies

As a result of an ongoing investigation by State Police at Oneonta, 33 year old Jonathon R. Hynes appeared in Delaware County Court Tuesday to answer charges within a sealed indictment.

Hynes was arraigned on 2 counts of 1st degree burglary, 1 count grand larceny 3rd degree, grand larceny 4th degree, 2 counts criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree and 1 count of burglary 3rd degree. All are felonies.

The charges are a result of the investigation into two recent robberies: one at the Country Store in Stamford and the other at the Quickway on State Route 23 in Davenport. As a result of the investigations, additional criminal acts were identified that resulted in the above charges.

Hynes was remanded to the Otsego County Jail without bail pending further action in Delaware County Court.
