State Police at Troop C answered a complaint from a residence in Windsor Wednesday and arrested Craig M. West on a charges of criminal mischief 3rd degree, criminal mischief 4th degree, disabling equipment to prevent a request for emergency, and harassment 2nd degree.

The investigation determined that West, 34, had been in a physical altercation with the victim. It is claimed he smashed the victim's telephone to keep her from calling police for help. West is also accused of damaging two wooden doors and a railing inside the residence, as well as pushing the victim against a dog kennel causing injury to the victim's head and jaw.

When troopers arrived at the scene West had fled, but was quickly located and arrested.

He was arraigned in Town of Colesville court and remanded to the Broome County Jail on $500 cash bail. An order of protection has been requested.
