Southern Tier Debates Casino Proposals

The Town of Union is taking public comment about a proposal for the development of a casino and resort at Homestead Village on Watson Boulevard, otherwise known as Traditions at the Glen.

According to an official notice from the Town the board is considering a new proposed 'Planned Unit Development' Watson Boulevard on and Barton Avenue that uses a townhouse residential development, office space, hotel and conference center, a casino, retail and an outdoor entertainment venue.

Meanwhile, the National Director of Stop Predatory Gambling, Les Bernal is speaking against the development of a casino in the Town of Union.
