A South New Berlin man faces multiple charges from an animal cruelty investigation last month. According to New York State Police, troopers were notified of animals being mistreated at a Dunhams Cross Road address in the town of Butternuts and the investigation determined a 6-month-old pig was shot several times with a pellet gun. The pig survived but investigators say it was in obvious distress. Robert Youngblood, 34 years old, was booked then released on his own recognizance.
