
Weekly Police Report From NYSP And Delaware County Sheriff’s Office
All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Jeffrey A. McGough, 18, turned himself into to state police this week. McGough is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Connor Delaney. Delaney was killed in the Town of Richmondville, near Cobleskill last January. Two teen co-defendants have also been charged in the killing.
State police based in Oneonta arrested 27-year-old Amanda-Lynn N. Pedlar of Cooperstown for trying to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at the Southside Wal-Mart. Pedlar is facing felony charges.
Delaware County deputies arrested James Nash Sr., 41, of Sidney. Nash had an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support. He was locked up in the county jail and will appear in Delaware County Family Court to answer charges.
State troopers based in Sidney arrested 32-year-old James D. Blackman of Afton. Blackman is charged with raping and sexually abusing two children under the age of 11 on multiple occasions. The alleged crimes happened in Chenango County.
Members of the state police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Computer Crimes Unit arrested a 17-year-old from Otego. The teen is facing felony charges for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child. Troopers say the teen was in possession of hundreds of images depicting child sexual exploitation.
