Oneonta City School District associate principal Tom Brindley presented the district-wide school safety plan to the public before the scheduled Board of Education meeting Wednesday.

He will deliver the same presentation to the state in less than a month.

OCSD has already implemented some measures, including keeping a security guard by the main entrance during school hours.

"Feedback from the community has been very positive," he said. "I think generally is makes our parents, students and our faculty and staff members feel a little bit more comfortable in the school, knowing that there's somebody at the door checking to see who is coming in."
