The American Red Cross Central New York region will be able to help keep upstate New York residents warm this winter thanks to a $25,000 grant.

The Dominion Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dominion Energy, has provided this funding for the Project SHARE program. Project SHARE is administered by the Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross and NYSEG. The program provides financial assistance for heating bills for elderly, disabled or handicapped individuals, and families with an active military member.

Dominion is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy, and it supplies energy to the Southern Tier, central New York and the Mohawk Valley through NYSEG. More information on Project SHARE can be found on NYSEG’s website at nyseg.com. Just click on “Your Account” and “Service and Assistance.
