
Delaware And Otsego Counties Police Blotter: July 19-26
All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
State troopers responding to a report of a domestic dispute in Delaware County arrested 42-year-old Christopher M. Yeary of Hamden and charged him with two felonies and three misdemeanors. Charges include criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, obstruction of breathing, and menacing.
Otsego County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher P. Showers on July 20th and charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree. Showers, 27, a Morris resident, was pulled over by deputies in Laurens and found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Stephanie Mapes was arrested by state troopers for drunk driving. Mapes, 40, was charged with driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while drunk with a child in the vehicle.
Otsego County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 26-year-old Angel L. Martinez Jr. and charged him with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.
State troopers based in Richfield Springs arrested 34-year-old Andrew Lamen of New Berlin. Lamen was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1%.
34-year-old Joel Lawrence of Afton was arrested July 19th and charged by Sidney based state troopers with public lewdness. Under New York State law, a lewd act typically involves exposure of private or intimate parts to the public.
