Hundreds of officials  businesses leaders and residents of Chenango County turned out Saturday to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Chenango County courthouse.

The ceremony began with the raising of the flag and the oxford brass band playing the national anthem. Administrative judge of the 6th judicial district, honorable Robert Mulvey, introduced state court officials and then introduced Chenango County supreme court justice, Keven Dowd, who reminisced about his history of law in Chenango County, life and law and history.

The honorable Jonathon Lipman, chief judge of New York State commended the people of Chenango County for keeping the facility in repair for 175 years.

Also speaking were honorable Karen K. Peters, presiding justice for appellate court, 3rd department, and the honorable Micheal Caccoma, deputy chief administrative judge for all courts outside New York City.
