Weekly Police Report From NYSP, Otsego and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office
All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
New York State troopers arrested Kenneth A. Carson, 37, on April 10th and charged him with multiple felonies. He allegedly attempted a break-in of a Springfield home. An investigation found Carson in possession of “ghost” guns, weapons without serial numbers, a home-made machine gun, and other weapons. Carson was jailed and is scheduled to appear in Springfield Town Court on May 5th.
Otsego County Sheriff’s deputies and U.S. Marshals arrested Michael Hawkins, 59, of Maryland, NY. He was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Hawkins faces a maximum term of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies charged Adam Warren, 43, of Newtown, CT, of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. His license was suspended. Warren is to appear in Hancock Town Court at a later date.
Recent arrests by state troopers include: Jeremy Vunk, 47, of Edmeston, NY, for driving while intoxicated. Christopher Gill, 43, of Conklin, NY, charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon, intentionally damaging property and acting in a manner injurious to a child. Everett Ayers, 58, of Warren, NJ, driving while intoxicated. Tyler Sherman, 28, of Bainbridge, NY, accused of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle. And Kimberly A. Stack, 50, Cooperstown, NY, charged with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
