Car Rollover in Otselic Kills Driver

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office investigated a one car rollover at the intersection of State Highway 80 and Reit Road in the Town of Otselic.

The accident occurred Monday at approximately 5:43 PM.  According to the Sheriff's office, the operator of the vehicle, Martin Vansteinburg was headed east on St. Highway 80 when he went off the eastbound shoulder of the road, over corrected, crossed the center line, left the road, struck an embankment and overturned.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the South Otselic Fire Dept., along with the State Dept. of Transportation.
