BINGHAMTON, N.Y.— A 25-year-old woman faces sentencing for causing the 2011 crash that killed three people riding in her car.

Jacklyn Wesley of Binghamton was convicted in September on three counts of vehicular manslaughter, as well as driving while intoxicated. She's scheduled to be sentenced today in Broome County Court.

Police say Wesley was drunk behind the wheel of her sport utility vehicle in May 2011 when she crashed on Interstate 88 in the town of Fenton, outside Binghamton. The SUV plunged into the Chenango River, killing two men and a woman riding with her. All the victims were from the Binghamton area.

Wesley faces a minimum sentence that doesn't include state prison time, or a maximum sentence with a range of five to 15 years in prison.
