As I was walking down Main Steeet Oneonta the other day, I noticed work going on at a brand new candy store coming to town.

Seeing this business in the works, it made me think of the corner candy stores of my youth.  It was called Hale's in Sidney in the 1950s.  They had a wide array of penny candy.  And I loved most of them..the wax lips, the red hot dollars, the pretzel sticks, the fake candy cigarettes and more.  But there were some I DID NOT LIKE!

I think for me, the worst candy ever made in my time was something that really didn't even have a  name.  It was a long sheet of paper covered with colorful dots of hard sugar.  Maybe that is what they were called..."Colorful Dots of Sugar."  I doubt it.

These were awful in my opinion, and you always ended up with more paper in your mouth than candy.  That is if you didn't chip a tooth on these things.  We have talked about your favorite candy in the past...but what was your LEAST favorite candy?
