Two trailers were destroyed in a fire Tuesday morning in Mount Upton. The call came in around 3 a.m. bringing the Mount Upton Fire Department to 115 Carney Lane.

Assisting were fire departments from Guilford, New Berlin, Gilbertsville and Oxford. One of the trailers caught fire causing a nearby trailer to also ignite. Both homes were destroyed.

One of the trailers occupants said that the fire most likely was caused by a bonfire from the night before that may have not been completely put out. Fire officials have not yet realeased the official cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
