SUNY Delhi Program Receives International Certification

SUNY Delhi's Resnick Learning Center has received International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITPPC) from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).

SUNY Delhi is one of about 800 tutorial programs in the United States and Canada that have received tutor training certification through the CRLA since 1989. The certification recognizes an internationally accepted standard of skills and training for tutors.

"This certification affirms the quality academic support Delhi offers students. It was the energy, patience and diligence of our tutorial services coordinator, Josephine Monaco, that earned us approval and certification for the Learning Center," said Michele DeFreece, Director of the Resnick Learning Center. The Learning Center offers a variety of resources, programs and services to prepare students for the rigors of the college experience. SUNY Delhi's tutoring services are available to all students and are offered in most entry level, general education courses, as well as some higher level courses. Tutoring is provided by trained peer tutors, faculty volunteer tutors and professional tutors. Services are available on site and online.
