Report Released on “Operation Hang Up” Enforcement

The results are in from the state’s Operation Hang Up traffic enforcement period, which targeted those who use electronic devices while driving.

Governor Cuomo’s office says between April 6 through April 10 more than 15,000 tickets were issued, including 2,000 for distracted driving.

Around 900 of those tickets were issued by State Police in Troop C which covers Otsego, Delaware and Chenango Counties with the vast majority for speeding and distracted driving.
