COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — A 33-year-old man is charged with shooting his father to death during an alleged domestic dispute in his Indian Run Road residence in Cooperstown.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says that Michael Buck of Cooperstown was charged Saturday with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and criminal use of a firearm.

Police were called to the home around 1:45 a.m. Saturday by someone who said there was a suspicious person outside and that there had been a shooting.

Police located Buck, who had minor injuries, and subsequently found 64-year-old Joseph Buck dead inside his home. Buck was arraigned and remanded to Otsego County Jail without bail.

He's due back in court on Sept. 30.
