How many remember when Johnny Cash had his very own variety show?  It ran from 1969 to 1971 and was taped at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The Johnny Cash Show was an important bridge in the history of country music in America.  The show was popular in all age brackets and really brought great country music and stars to a huge audience from coast to coast.  While Johnny woulds sometimes break the mold with his guests (like Louis Armstrong, Kate Smith, The Monkees and others) he mainly stuck to presenting country music artists.

Tammy Wynette, Roy Clark, The Statler Brothers, Marty Robbins, Burl Ives, Jerry Reed and many other country stars made wither one or multiple appearances on Johnny's show.  The show was a Top 20 hit in the ratings.

How many of you remember the Johnny Cash Variety Show?
