The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed federal regulations limiting the emissions of climate change pollution from new fossil-fueled power plants.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Friday said in a release that the proposal is a critical step forward in fighting the grave dangers posed to New York, the nation and the world by climate change pollution.

The A.G. said he was looking forward to setting strong limits on climate change pollution from existing power plants, which is the nation's largest source of emissions that are changing our climate.
