The Norwich City School District will choose from nine candidates to fill three vacant seats on the Board of Education, and vote on a budget of $38.7 million today.

The budget means a 2.5 percent tax levy, slightly higher than last year.

The budget maintains class size without cuts to programs or faculty.

Voting will be from noon-9 p.m. at St. Bartholomew's parish center on East Main Street in Norwich, the Plymouth fire house and Preston fire house.
