May 18 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties

We continue to keep you updated on confirmed cases in our tri-county region of Central New York. As of May 17, according to The New York State COVID-19 Tracker, the total number of cases in Chenango County is at 117 . Delaware County Public Health is at 65 total confirmed cases with 52 of those people recovered from the virus. In Otsego County, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is holding at 62, in fact, health officials report that there have been no new cases in Otsego County for 17 days.

According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 350,121 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 1889 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday. The good news is that the numbers are going down across the state.

Please note that the number of confirmed cases does not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
