Local Lightning Strike…”Oh, But For the Grace of God!” (PHOTOS)

Look at these dramatic photos of a direct lightning strike last night on a church in Preston, NY (just outside of Norwich in Chenango County).  Nearby residents recall a red fireball hurtling itself at the church and then debris covering the road for a long stretch up to the Preston Fire House.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.  Pretty dramatic photos, huh?
