I Love Lucy Fans Converged on Jamestown This Weekend & Big Chuck Was There!
What a weekend in Jamestown, NY this past couple of days. Jamestown is the birthplace and final resting place of Lucille Ball. The Lucy-Desi Museum there attracts thousands every year. The have some wonderful fun events that Lucy fans all over the world come to attend.
This past weekend they went for the gold...or purple, that is. The World's Record Grape Stomp was held in downtown Jamestown. I was there Saturday morning and saw the set up. Amazing. The city walled off a large "grape pit" and filled t with luscious grapes from the vineyards around the city. 1,032 stompers all did the deed and got Jamestown in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Jamestown really keeps it lively. And I learned alter that Bob Newhart was even in town!
And we all know exactly why they did this crazy thing...right? Take a look!
