Summer is quickly on the way, which means area families struggling to feed their children who are no longer receiving school meals.  You can do a little bit and help a lot by dining out this Friday, May 1st at participating "Fighting Hunger Friday" restaurants.

This is the brainchild of Real Estate Agents at Keller Williams Upstate NY Properties who wanted to find a significant way of giving back to the community so they are launching "Fighting Hunger Friday" which will encompass four local counties.  This Friday, when you dine at any of the participating 15 restaurants, you will have the opportunity to leave a donation, 100% of which will benefit St. Mary’s Food Pantry, Cooperstown Food Pantry and Delhi Food Pantry.  Here's your list of participating restaurants:

Brooks House of BBQ (Oneonta)
B-Side Supper Club (Oneonta)
Doubleday Café (Cooperstown)
Humphrey’s Gourmet (Oneonta)
Jack’s Pub (Worcester)
Jay’s Place (Oneonta)
Nina’s (Oneonta)
Pizza 23 West (West Oneonta)
Pizzaland (Oneonta)
Pondos (Colliersville)
The Red Caboose Restaurant (Oneonta)
Riverstone (West Oneonta)
Sloans NY Grill (Oneonta)
NY Pizza (Cooperstown)
Bocca Osteria (Cooperstown)
The Coffee Pot (Hobart)
Cuginos (Delhi)

Here's how it works.  At each of these participating eaterys, you'll either receive a envelope or bag to put a donation of any amount into.  Some businesses will have a donation container at their check-out register.  Put a dollar(s) or even your pocket change into the envelope and make a difference in a local family's life.
