Outdoor recreation in the Catskills creates an annual economic impact of almost $115 million dollars, almost 2.5 million visitors and supports over 2,400 jobs, according to a new report.

The report was commissioned by the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development, Catskill Mountain Keeper and Catskill Heritage Alliance.

The study said the effect is from a combination of state and New York City lands combined with private lands that are open to the public.
