Do You Remember When Gas Stations Did NOT Sell Sandwiches and Lotto?

Yes, there was a time when gas stations only sold gas.

Do you remember those days?  Just gas, maybe oil and maybe, just maybe, a pack of gum or a pack of cigarettes.  That was it at the gas stations in the early days.  Now of course, gas stations are mini-malls selling everything from lottery tickets, full meals, wine and firewood.

In my day and age it was Ricey's little gas station on Riverside in Sidney.  The one in the image above is identified as Stan White service station on Rt. 205 (where Mirabitos is located now).

Do you remember a time when gas stations only sold gas (OK, and maybe some fishing bait)?
