Disney’s Evil ‘Maleficent’…Was Less Really More? (VIDEO)

There is a new movie coming out starring Angelina Jolie as Disney's wicked 'Maleficient."

We first met this troublemaker in the 1959 classic 'Sleeping Beauty."  She was animated, voiced by the great character actress Eleanor Audley, and totally terrifying.  I was 9 years old when I first watched 'Sleeping Beauty' at the Sidney Theater and the fright of Maleficent's scenes have always stayed with me.

Jolie, who reportedly gets between $15 and 20-million a picture, makes a stunning evil doer for sure.  All of the computer generated special effects are on full display in this movie which I am sure will be a blockbuster.

But...is today's more really less?

First up is the 2014 Angelina Jolie Malefcient.  Followed by the classic 1959 animated one.  Which one is better?  Which one is scarier?

Me?  Personally I think the 1959 scene below is one of the scariest animated segments (for a kid) Disney ever produced.  What do you think?
