Coronavirus cases continue to steadily rise in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties.

The Otsego County Department of Health (OCDH) released their COVID-19 report yesterday, stating that there are were 16 new cases confirmed in the county. County-wide, there are currently 91 active cases with 11 hospitalizations. Health officials continue to be very concerned with the significant daily rise in cases.  Of the 1340 total confirmed cases (since last March), 766 cases are linked to SUNY Oneonta (according to the OCDH) and 71 are associated with Hartwick College.

In Delaware County, Delaware County Public Health reported Wednesday (12/2) that there are now 76 known active cases in the county following 8 additional confirmed cases. There are currently 4 people hospitalized with COVID-19 complications. The number of county residents under mandatory quarantine is at 255.

In Chenango County, according to the Chenango County Health Department, as of 12/2/20, there were 49 active COVID-19 cases in the county with 5 related hospitalizations, 256 and are in mandatory quarantine. The total confirmed cases for Chenango County (since March) is at 649.
