The Catskill Regional Teacher Center will be hosting the ninth annual legislative forum to discuss education from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bugbee School auditorium in Oneonta.

U.S. Representative Chris Gibson, assemblymen Bill Magee, Peter Lopez and Cliff Crouch along with aides from State Senator James Seward and U.S Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be in attendance.

"We're really pleased that we have this representation coming," said policy member Carol Dean. "The focus is education issues. For those who are involved with education, we're real familiar with Race to the Top and Common Core and funding issues and budgeting issues.

"For everyone else it would be an opportunity to come and learn more about the issues that are going on. It's open to the public," Dean added.
