“Can You Believe Some MadMen From The 1950s Came Up With This Doozie?”

I love watching "Mad Men" on TV and I think it really depicts the ways of the world in the 1950s and 1960s perfectly.  Especially when it comes to women.  Women at home, in the work place and in the stores.  The advertising MEN of the era really had a bizarre view of the role of women in that long ago society.  I lived it..so I know!

Here is a classic example.  This is an actual advertisement for Pitney Bowes adding machines from the 1950s.  Do you think this ad would ever make it into print today?  "Is it always illegal to kill a woman?  The answer is Yes! Yes! Yes!!"  This is too unreal.......
