The National Weather Center has just announced a winter weather advisory for our listening area from this afternoon to Saturday morning.  The latest from the weather wires reads as follows:

* HAZARDS... SNOW... .POSSIBLY MIXED WITH SLEET AT THE ONSET.

* ACCUMULATIONS... UP TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW. THE HIGHEST SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE OVER NORTHERN PENNSYLVANIA.

* TIMING... SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE TONIGHT BEFORE TAPERING OFF LATE.

* TEMPERATURES... FALLING INTO THE UPPER 20S.

* IMPACTS... HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW... SLEET... OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
