Having grown up in a house with five sisters, there was plenty of this goop around the house in the 1950s and 1960s.  "Dippity Doo."  I don't get it.

I think my sisters used it to slather over their hair before they rolled their bangs or something.  I know my two brothers and I used for all sorts of reasons, mostly ones that the product was NOT intended for!  I remember this gunk came in clear (photo), pink and green and it tasted awful (again, NOT its intended use!).  Us guys had Brylcreeme  and "a little dab'll do ya."  Did the girls say " a little do will do ya?"

Like I said, I don't get it.
