BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Tons of chicken wings are being hauled by truck into downtown Buffalo in preparation for the city's annual chicken wing festival.

National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival founder and organizer Drew Cerza says 40 tons of wings are being delivered Tuesday morning to Coca-Cola Field, the minor league baseball stadium where the event is held every Labor Day weekend.

Cerza says the wings from Wayne Farms in Arkansas will arrive aboard a tractor-trailer.

The 12th annual wing festival is being held this Saturday and Sunday. Cerza says the event draws tens of thousands of people from all 50 states and about three dozen other countries to the birthplace of the Buffalo-style wing.

The weekend festival features servings of 100 different styles of wings, live music and a wing-eating contest.
