
Two Fires Hit Delhi
There were two fires in the Village of Delhi Wednesday.
The first alarm sounded shortly before 6 pm to an apartment on lower
Main Street in Delhi that started in the oven. Delhi Assistant Chief Bill
Cairns credited quick reaction by two teenagers who were in the
apartment at the time, they used fire extinguishers and
called 911 promptly. The fire at 35 Main Street was under control when
Delhi FD got to the scene. An hour later another fire on Main Street.
According to Cairns. There were no injuries reported. Departments
from Walton and Bloomville responded.
