Tri-County COVID-19 Cases And Vaccine Update Feb. 22
The Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday (2/21) that there were 6 new confirmed cases with 7 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus. There are currently 74 known active cases in the county with a total of 49 COVID-19 related deaths. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.
Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (2/21), reporting 10 new cases yesterday. There are 120 active and there are 23 people hospitalized. For COVID-19 vaccine information, county health officials recommend visiting www.nyuhs.org/southerntiervax. Officials also suggest for those 65 and older, you can call The Office for the Aging at 607-832-5750 to schedule an appointment at a Public Health Clinic. Also, there are select local pharmacies where a limited amount of vaccines are administered. You can call your local pharmacy to find out when/if they will be receiving vaccine.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline is open 7AM - 10PM, 7 days week, to help New Yorkers determine if they are eligible and schedule vaccination appointments.
In Chenango County, the health department reported new COVID-19 stats for 2/19 on their facebook page. At that time, the health department was reporting 52 active cases, 13 hospitalizations related to the virus, and the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 complications are currently at 50.
