FREEVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — U.S. authorities have identified a tourist apparently trampled to death by elephants in Thailand as a woman from upstate New York.

The Department of State says 24-year-old Lily Glidden was from the small village of Freeville.

Park rangers in Thailand found Glidden's body on January 18th, five days after she left alone from a campground in Kaeng Krachan National Park in the western province of Petchaburi.
