THURSDAY OLDIES FLASHBACK: Jay and the Americans “Cara Mia” (1965) (VIDEO)

This is a great song from one of the true powerhouses of the rock era, Jay Black.  Operatic in tone, it nonetheless became a monster hit on the rock and roll charts.

It peaked at #4 in 1965.  Check out this clip from his appearance on one of the American Bandstand "wannabee shows," Shindig!
