Thursday Oldies Flashback: Frankie Avalon “Venus” (VIDEO)

Frankie Avalon turns 74 today!

One of the great Teen Idols of the rock era, Frankie scored with many top hits over his 50 year career.  Songs like "Bobby Sox to Blue Jeans," "Why," and "Venus" made him one of the biggest of the famed Boys of Summer.  He also appeared in many "beach themed" movies, often with his famous co-star Annette Funicello.  And who can forget him in the movie "Grease" as the "Teen Angel."
