Folks.....you cant make this stuff up!

5 people were injured on Saturday when loaded rifles went off accidently at gun shows in Ohio, Indiana and North Carolina.

Wire service reports are saying that in the most serious incident three people were wounded when a 12-gauge shotgun went off while being handled at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, N.C.  Several thousand were attending this show at the time. Attendees raced for the exits when the shots rang out.  One of the injured was a North Carolina sheriffs deputy.

It was discovered that a 36-year old man had brought a loaded shotgun into the show to try and make a private sale of it.  The gun went off when he was attempting to remove it from the gun case to be inspected by security officials.

Loaded weapons also went off on Saturday while being handled at gun shows in Indiana and Ohio.  Each of these incidents resulted in a single gunshot injury.
