Fairs

Connecticut just banned the fish game at fairs and lawn fetes. There was already an animal restriction on games, but now the fish was added to the law.

"Big Tex," who has welcomed visitors to the Texas State Fair in Dallas for more than six decades was completely destroyed by fire today.  The devastation was witnessed by hundreds of fair goers.  The cause is still unknown. Sunday was a great final day of the ever-growing Harvest Festival in Sharon Springs.  Thousands make their way to this tiny hamlet of 500 residents every year for one of the greatest Fall Festivals of the Upstate region.  My wife and I joined the crowd again this year.
