Tim Welch, a lecturer in Communications & Media, has just produced the second of two volumes of the Bancroft Prize-winning audio biography of President James K. Polk. Polk is perhaps best known for nearly doubling the size of the USA in the 1840s by negotiating the Oregon Territory from Great Britain and adding the southwestern states by starting and winning the Mexican War. This is Welch’s 41st narration for Audible.com.
