SUNY Oneonta reported 1 new case of COVID-19 on Thursday bringing the total to 697. No students are in isolation or quarantine on campus. State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras announced SUNY-wide standards for violators of COVID-19 safety protocols to strengthen penalties for reckless behavior and non-compliance. Student violators now face immediate academic and housing suspension, as well as possible dismissal, and student organizations in non-compliance face a permanent campus ban.
