The Student-Athlete Advisory Council, with assistance by the college’s athletic department, is hosting a clothing drive for The Family Service Association of Oneonta on Wednesday, March 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Dewar Arena in the Alumni Field House.

“Working as a substitute teacher in the local school district, I’ve seen first-hand the inequity in everyday clothing in the community,” said Dan Loos, men's soccer team captain and executive board member of the council. “That’s why we decided to work with the Family Service Association of Oneonta. The organization does a great job assisting area residents so they can make ends meet.”

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council is accepting clean and gently-worn items for donation. Clothing of all ages is acceptable: coats, shirts (long and short), sweatshirts, shorts (cargo and athletic), pants (jeans and sweats), winter gloves and hats, shoes, and new socks. Any professional attire that is donated will be given to the Red Closet on campus.
