State Senator James Seward joined a bipartisan group of state legislators along with county and town highway superintendents to call for increased state funding for local highway improvements. Seward said on Wednesday that while downstate is slated to receive the bulk of the highway funds in the governor’s proposed budget they cannot overlook the needs of our upstate roads and bridges which is key to attract employers to New York.
