With the passing of George Jones and the birthday milestone (age 80) hit by Willie Nelson recently, it is time to pay tribute the two of the oldest performing country music stars still working hard for the money today.

Little Jimmy Dickens is now 92, and is the oldest member of the Grand Ole Opry.  He joined the Opry in 1948 and still performs more than a dozen dates there every year.  Dickens, all 4'11" of him is one of the most beloved entertainers in America.  His song "May the Bird of Paradise (Fly Up Your Nose)" was a #1 smash hit in 1965.

Ray Price, he of the luscious baritone and easy stage persona  is now 87 years old. Despite fighting pancreatic cancer since 2012 he continues to keep up an exhausting touring schedule for a man even half his age.  He hopes to perform as many as twenty-five concerts in 2013.  Price scored major hits with "Release Me," Crazy Arms," "Night Life" and his greatest record, "For the Good Times."

Below are two terrific videos of Little Jimmy Dickens and Ray Price.  With well over a century combined in the world of country music, God surely broke the mold when he made these two legendary country performers.  And we salute them for their contributions to the music industry.

LITTLE JIMMY DICKENS!

RAY PRICE!
