ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York is taking a page from retailers and offering a one-day holiday-season deal on state campsite reservations.

State parks and environmental officials are offering a $25 camping gift card to people who book a two-night minimum stay online on Monday. The Monday after Thanksgiving is annually marketed as "Cyber Monday" to encourage people to shop online.

The camp site reservations have to be made Monday at: http://newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com

The offer is good for campsites, cabins, cottages or yurts maintained by the Department of Environmental Conservation or the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey says the card will allow customers to come back and camp less expensively next time.
