Start Packing! Here Are the ‘Big Chuck Bus’ Details!

Our next Big Chuck Bus will be leaving Oneonta on Saturday October 6 and coming back Sunday October 7.  We will be heading down to New York City on Saturday where we will have lunch on our own at the wonderful food court in the historic Grand Central Station.

From there we will head to Broadway where we have great tickets to see the hottest musical right now in New York, "Newsies."  This play takes a look at a famous newsboy strike in New York 100-years ago.  It has been praised for the kids in the show, the singing and dancing and the dramatic storyline.  The show is a consistent sell-out and we are very thankful to be able to get 50 tickets together for this smash hit.

A dinner in Little Italy is also in our first days activities.

After the show we will have a guided tour of Ground Zero.  Everyone says to see this historic place (we actually will go into the site) ta dusk  is quite unforgettable.

And then off to our hotel.

Sunday we have breakfast at our hotel and head "down to the river."  There we will board a Circle Line cruise and take a leisurely 2-hour boat ride up the Hudson River, past the skyline of New York, the Palisades of New Jersey, the mansions along the Hudson and we will finally dock at Bear Mountain State Park.

After we will head to historic West Point for a guided tour. And we will enjoy their famous Sunday Champagne Brunch at the historic Thayer Hotel on the grounds of West Point Military Academy.  I have never been on the West Point tour and think it will be terrific.

After, its back home.
